I've always thought Selectrics & their accompanying type elements were cool. I guess it's time to ask my friend when he plans to send his mother's Selectric II, as he promised before Christmas....
Even though the Selectrics are electric they have always been one of my favorites because of the interchangable type elements. The artisan and script are fantstic. One day I may add a Selectric to my collection.
If all goes according to plan, I will be adding 10 more type elements ($4.20 / piece) via an eBay auction. They are "New", so hopefully they all have the all-plastic tabs. They are a mix of 10 and 12 pitch, so we'll see how those all look on paper.
Just love the Artisan and the Script. Interesting story. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteGood McGyvering.
ReplyDeleteThe typing looks nice even if it is a little squeezed.
Good buy despite the "issues", indeed!

ReplyDeleteEven if the writing gets a little tight, it looks fantastic! The artisan is amazing.

I will certainly be sharing, if I get them!
The Script and Artisan look great. It almost makes me want a Selectric...
