I think only one person ever came up to me--an older gentleman, of course--and said, "I thought I heard a typewriter somewhere but I didn't believe it. Man, that brings back some memories."

-JustinAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3525256592893354856.post-83877310852362339022010-10-08T21:14:59.931-04:002010-10-08T21:14:59.931-04:00I was wondering the same thing! I've only typed in public at the local river walk and I usually get a few old timers stopping to ask me about the machine and ask me if it's my mom's or my dad's! When I tell them it's mine they rarely, if ever, believe me.

Let's hope your outcome is a little more positive!wordrebelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08477017129873915137noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3525256592893354856.post-4172309685670489712010-10-08T13:17:55.445-04:002010-10-08T13:17:55.445-04:00We'll see. Although, I'm still a bit of a chicken when it comes to public typing...but maybe I'll get some courage here in a bit.deekhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18140131381076720375noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3525256592893354856.post-51910274908934660972010-10-08T12:56:07.836-04:002010-10-08T12:56:07.836-04:00I am curious what types of responses you get and c...I am curious what types of responses you get and conversations are initiated by you using that thing on the train.

-JustinAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3525256592893354856.post-38793847115253875792010-10-08T06:40:22.329-04:002010-10-08T06:40:22.329-04:00I'm loving the Lettera 32 as a travel companio...I'm loving the Lettera 32 as a travel companion. For me, the key has been to find a backpack that would hold the typer with the rest of my self.

I thought the 25 pound weight would get to me, but I've had no issues carrying it and I have been walking a lot with it.deekhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18140131381076720375noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3525256592893354856.post-80686116890562658842010-10-08T01:31:27.769-04:002010-10-08T01:31:27.769-04:00How are you liking your Lettera on the rails &...How are you liking your Lettera on the rails & hotel rooms of America? I just got my first Lettera 32 in the mail today - what a mess it was, but fortunately it was fairly easy to get apart to fix the stuff that was wrong with it (and I can now see why eraser shavings are a typewriter repairman's bread & butter). It seems like it would be a pretty good traveling companion.

Get home safe (:Tedhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16774432656602082311noreply@blogger.com
