Although the Hermes Baby works just fine. As does my Olivetti Lettera.Rheahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02354343772757799928noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3525256592893354856.post-34138252756449643592010-09-23T20:13:41.995-04:002010-09-23T20:13:41.995-04:00Rhea, yeah, it just some cheap Lexmark printer/fax...Rhea, yeah, it just some cheap Lexmark printer/fax/copy/scanner. After a lot of trial and error early on, I try to keep my typewritten page so the text is between 3 and 3.5" and then after I scan it it, I scale it down to 37%. Don't ask me how I came to those numbers, it was trial and error and it ended up working for me.

After the page is uploaded as an image, I find it quite readable on the blog and it fits nicely on my smartphone screen without having to resize or zoom.

I think you should get back into that typewriter phase and post some pictures and typecasts:) And thanks for stopping by and sharing.deekhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18140131381076720375noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3525256592893354856.post-89357362560844616892010-09-23T19:04:14.684-04:002010-09-23T19:04:14.684-04:00Hi,

I have 8 manual typewriters (Hermes Baby, some Olympias, a Galaxie Deluxe, a couple of Olivettis, etc.). I went through a big typewriter phase a year or so ago, then got sidetracked. I want to start using my typewriters again, so here's a stupid question: Do you just scan your typewritten page then post it online? Hey, I'm a Luddite.Rheahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02354343772757799928noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3525256592893354856.post-1258190528575073242010-09-23T16:03:28.804-04:002010-09-23T16:03:28.804-04:00Picking up milk on the way home, I almost bought s...Picking up milk on the way home, I almost bought some vanilla ice cream and chocolate syrup, just because that sounded SO good when you mentioned it. I didn't buy any, but I did get up this morning an bake homemade bread... Slow-rising, yeast-scented bread that takes hours to make. Flour, salt, yeast, and water.
