"I wonder if _______ would be nicer to type on than this ________ that I have here." And so the addiction continues.

I've also used the ol' "I had one of those once. Maybe I need one again."Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3525256592893354856.post-11856063052320235602010-12-08T11:57:28.949-05:002010-12-08T11:57:28.949-05:00Yeah, they are out there for the taking. Then I got impatient and offered her $40 if she sold it to me and took the auction down. She denied my request, gracefully and wanted to see the auction through.

Ended up winning the auction for $21. I gave her $25, cause I felt bad, but she insisted on giving me change. Class seller.

The only thing lacking, and I do mean only thing, is that its a late-model. So, its got the the orange circle-i on the front and white crinkle paint with grey dual-tone. Had I not known there were earlier models or heard that the later models "just aren't as solid as the older ones", then I wouldn't even think about.

But now that that's in the back of my head, I continue to wonder if my wonderful typewriter could be outperformed by an older SM9...

Yup, I've got issues:)deekhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18140131381076720375noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3525256592893354856.post-90665477764627882812010-12-08T11:07:14.645-05:002010-12-08T11:07:14.645-05:00I once had an SM-9 that was near perfect. I had to sell it off a while ago but I sure wish I still had it. My favorites have a ton of candied fruit and nuts and the batter is really only there to hold the good stuff together and often-times, the whole thing is soaked in alcohol.

From my experience, the longer its sits in the fridge, the better it gets. Unfortunately, it never lasts in my fridge long.

Haha, yeah, but in 150 more years, I"ll be 184. I can deal with that:)deekhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18140131381076720375noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3525256592893354856.post-72731270702723913452010-12-08T00:50:10.947-05:002010-12-08T00:50:10.947-05:00No nog here! True?

And only 150?? I've always thought I'd like to live for as long as possible, but I don't recall ever putting an arbitrary number to it. Perhaps it's a good idea. If you have an end point perhaps things would be sweeter...wordrebelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08477017129873915137noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3525256592893354856.post-5973976959580734612010-12-07T10:06:14.020-05:002010-12-07T10:06:14.020-05:00Typewriters. I used to hate both fruitcake and eggnog, now I like small tastes of both.notagainhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02915679111849352765noreply@blogger.com
