Liked seeing that I am not the only one who wakes up with a writerly mind. Fun how that can carry one through the most mundane of days! Liked this post, Deek!
I love the early morning. It's usually my prime reading/praying/studying time. I love how quiet the world is first thing in the morning. On work days I get up at 4:30--which is retarded early--but I've actually become accustomed to the stillness of that stupidly early hour.
(As a sidenote, my verification was "spermit". I think I'll leave that one alone.)
The typewriter is the only writing tool that I can stand in the early morn. The thought of a computer screen assailing my tender optic nerves that early is abhorrent. The clack of the type-bars though? Beautiful.

ReplyDeleteAgreed, this is the best time of day for anything creative. Mornings were the only way I made it through three nanowrimos oh so long ago.
