  1. Manual typewriters seem especially to work well with poetry, particularly if you keep a fresh sheet threaded up, ready to go, as the Muse may strike at any moment.

    There was a link from the Classic Typewriter website about a poet who had a grant to stay in Hemmingway's home in Key West and produce poetry, via manual typewriter. Cool.
