  1. Ahahahahaha. Three. Your wife had better accept that no one can stop at just three.

  2. I keep thinking about that Galaxie that got left behind when you bought the Royal. They are plain, but I love mine as a typer. Wonder if it's still there? ;-)

    We aren't helping, are we?

  3. I limit myself to multiples of three.
Holding at 21 currently (I think - better do a head-count, in case I need to pick up one or two more).

  4. I think I will follow that lead and limit myself to multiples of three then, too! Yeah, it certainly is hard to stop. I would have had four had that Oliver #5 not been sold before the girl got my E-mail.

And yes, LFP, I do think about a couple of those typers I found at the antique shop. While I didn't really like any of them at first look, I do think about them and feel they would make a much better home with me:)

My wife has negotiated and is open to more, with the caveat that I sell/give away another, but I don't know if I can let any go into this cruel world alone!

  5. Well, you could set up two machines side-by-side, with paper threaded in each, and type simultaneously with both machines, using both hands. This would prove to your wife that, not only should you now have six typewriters (effectively doubling your quota,) but also that you are totally nuts. As are all of us typewriter fans.
