  1. That's a great idea. I should try that with my daughter, plus it is a good excuse to bust out the typewriter.

  3. "We all came upstairs and sat around the IBM Selectric..." That's like those scenes in movies when a family gathers round the piano while Aunt So-And-So plays Christmas tunes, only better because who gathers round typewriters? Awesome.

I have to be careful watching Wall-E. While it is very well done and a great kids movie, it gets me a little worked up. I can't help but feel that is it prophetic of a not-too-distant future for people, similar to books such as Animal Farm and 1984. The problems of garbage, over-commercialization, people being lazy and obese and unable to read, and such. Of course, I don't say these things to my five year old because he is not jaded like I am... :)

  4. I can see that Justin...from my perspective, its all the better to watch so I can make try to educate my kids away from a sedentary and wasteful lifestyle.

Granted, they'll probably be done watching this moving by the time my oldest is 5!
