  2. For me it was - and is - Harold and the Purple Crayon. My daughter learned how to read with that book and I always read it myself when she's at her mom's house...it' amazing how close it makes me feel to her.

Anyways...glad you got your SM3 running - I still have to find a fix for my platen, if not a whole new one, before I can use mine.

  4. Good to see you again, Deek! (Letter going out today, btw). Somehow The Seuss passed me by - though my Dad LOVED Boris Karloff's TV narration of How the Grinch Stole Christmas!

  5. I am quite partial to tweetle beetles. By the time my tongue has warmed up, I'm ready to speed through the tweetle beetles puddle paddle battle and my kids love it.

I still have several of my own kids books, like Bruce's Loose Tooth and a Gaggle of Green Geese, but Dr. Seuss seems to take the cake at bedtime.

And thanks for welcoming me back! I didn't mean to take a hiatus, it just happened...

  8. Marty, I never thought about that relation, but I wouldn't be surprised if there wasn't at least some sort of inspiration from Puss in Boots, even if just the title.
