The quests from 80 to 85 are quite good, actually - much more interesting than the monochromatic Icecrown quests. You'll love being able to fly in Old World, too.
Unfortunately, I've had to give up WOW for awhile until my RL situation settles down a bit. Mayhaps in some months ahead I might run into you in a random dungeon. Look for a small Gnome DK named Harbashi. :D
LOVE the Lamy Safari. I actually use them in composition and at work (both M and F nibs), and even though they see extremely heavy usage, you'd never know it from their performance.
The Safari is pretty awesome. And yes, its much better than the Space Pen (although the Space Pen is still pretty cool). And unlike my cheap calligraphy pen, that "scratches" into the page, the Safari glides on it, like a figure skater.
Ted, I've heard a ton of great things about 80-85 quests. I am looking forward to it. I started playing WoW a few weeks before BC came out and played hardcore through it and WotLK. I too gave it up (its been close to 2 years since I last played), mainly due to my friend's (we were all in a small guild) started to do other stuff and personally, just started to burn out.
I've got a few 80s: Durgar (dwarven warrior), Vaaldor (draenei pally) and Wynnlae (draenei priest). I've never played Horde and barely played any other classes except these three (I think I have a 30-something rogue), so there's still a ton of game I haven't really played...
Heh, you're gonna love replacing all of that hard-won gemmed & enchanted purple Epic gear with common green drops that are for some reason so much better.. :D
(however, 100K+ health in DPS spec is rather handy when you want to cruise through old content)
Yeah, a group of my friends that took a much shorter hiatus have clued me in to what to expect...I'm still a month or so away from getting back into the game. I know a ton of the mechanics have changed since I last played, so it will all be new again. Plus, since I was used to running a ton of mods, I'll probably spend the first couple hours getting my UI set back to my liking!
Unfortunately, there are no typewriters in this fantasy world...
Happy belated birthday! I meant to leave a note yesterday and got sidetracked. Sounds like it was a good one!
ReplyDeleteAwwww.... what a great story. Welcome to the Lamy Safari club! How do you like it?
ReplyDeleteVery cool! Very nice pen - better than the Space Pen?! ;u)

That's pretty cool. You've got a great wife.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday Deek!
ReplyDeleteI know nothing of WoW. Do they use typewriters in that land?
