  1. interesting. Maybe that's why creative people are often self-destructive.

  2. I agree that there is a balance and there needs to be something in that equation that you struggle with or are working on. At least it is a constructive "problem" that you are trying to overcome and not one of the several classic vices like so many other writers struggle with.

  3. True, my vices really just (figured I'd stay consistent and use some more "justs") consist of laziness/procrastination.

I quit smoking cigarettes when my first child was born. Outside of college, I never really drank much or smoked weed (as it stands, I probably average 3-5 beers/month, mostly due to family events/cookouts and don't do any drugs). I don't have anger or violence issues. And sex...well, I'm married, so I'd say its typical:)

So, yeah, outside of laziness/procrastination, the only other problems I'm aware of is better communication with my wife and showing more emotions (I'm a bottle-up kind of guy).

    Pretty boring, eh?

  4. Yeah, pretty boring. You should get in a fight with someone.

(Really, I'm just as boring as far as vices go. Maybe I should get in a fight with someone.)

  8. ...I think what you are describing philosophically is the difference between an amateur (in the true sense of that word - for the love of it) and a pro, who has to turn it no like a tap (faucet) whatever his or her mental bearing?
