  1. I would love to try one of those, they sound great and they're quite popular in the typosphere from what I gather. They are not available on this side of the pond, and I'm a bit hesitant about a device that uses batteries (as opposed to having an internal rechargeable one). Hmm.

  2. I'm not exactly sure the battery life on the Dana, but it did come with a rechargeable battery. I hear they are only $15 to replace with a new one and the charge by AC adapter (which I don't have) and USB cable (which I do have).

But...the older AS3K model, lasts for 700 hours on three regular alkaline batteries, so I wouldn't be hesitant about that. I've had mine for close to a year and a half and the batteries are still over 90%.

  3. What a great deal. Let us know how it goes.

Is the keyboard comfy and easy? I tried a 3000 and hated the keyboard -- the keys wouldn't work right unless you pressed straight down in the middle of the key.

  4. So far, so good. I'm currently using it as an USB keyboard, because it is so comfy and easy...and quiet. I have heard a lot of great things about the Dana keyboard and it has confirmed those expectations. Its just a really good keyboard, but it would be in the family of laptop keyboards, not desktop. But it is full-sized and comfortable.

My 3000 isn't bad, but compared to this, it looks like an oversized toy. My 3000 keyboard wasn't sticky or overly stiff, but it wasn't the most comfortable or quiet one to work on.
